Will Power
Helping Bible and Ministry training – by including the RTC in your willGod’s gifts
Our earthly possessions are God’s gifts. In your Will you can advance Kingdom work far into the future with a bequest to the RTC. The world’s greatest need is spreading the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that requires men and women to be trained to bring and spread the Gospel. The Reformed Theological College (RTC) faithfully carries out such training. You can benefit that ongoing training for many years, by leaving a part of your Will as a gift to the RTC.Great Benefit
The RTC’s annual budget has only been enough to meet the year’s expenses each year. Our long term financial well being would benefit much from bequests. They can be invested, with the interest used to support our income and expand the work. We heartily welcome a growing number of bequests to support our work. How do I make a Will?
A Will is usually made up with a solicitor or an executor company. Making a Will might begin with a listing of all possessions, and then giving instructions about distributing them. For many people, the first concern is to provide for family, and then to make gifts (“bequests”) to Christian organisations such as the RTC.Changing your Will
Additions or changes to your Will can be readily made with your solicitor or executor company. The most common forms of bequest are:
- General Bequest – a gift of money for use at the RTC’s discretion.
- Specific Bequest – a gift of a particular possession to the RTC.
- Residual Bequest – giving the balance of the estate to the RTC, after providing for all the persons and other causes you wish to benefit.
”I,…………….., bequeath to the Reformed Theological College, Geelong in the state of Victoria, Australia ………………( gift details)………………. I declare that the RTC Treasurer’s receipt shall be sufficient discharge to my trustees”
Please advise us when you have included a bequest for the RTC in your Will so we can thank you personally.
